Paul Quigley

CEO, Bloclab Enterprises

Paul is the Founder and CEO of BlocLab Enterprises ( and is also the Managing Partner of Cornerstone Healthcare Consulting, a healthcare technology and consulting firm. Paul is an accomplished entrepreneur with over 30 years of leadership, strategic, operating and implementation experience. He has national as well as international corporate experience in more than 20 high growth and complex turn around environments across the financial and healthcare industries.

He was an early adopter of blockchain; recognized the value of KYC/AML and the lack of security in consumer, behavioral, clinical and IoT data and believes the consumer should control and release that data as they see the need to do so. He has expertise in digital identity and trust anchors using blockchain & blockstack applications, Ethereum and Hyperledger. He has developed several identity models to support clinical data exchange across networks.

Paul spent more than 10 years at the International Consulting firms of Ernst & Young and Accenture as a Senior Manager in the Healthcare and Emerging Technology Practice of Ernst & Young, LLP and a Senior Manager, Healthcare Life Sciences, at Accenture, Inc. He was a member of the International Blockchain Lab for Philips Healthcare, in the Netherlands -examining the global impact of Blockchain across all of Philips product Lines. He is an Instructor at Harvard University’s Graduate Extension School and co-teaches about Innovation and Blockchain. He has a BS in Nursing from Northeastern University and an MBA, Finance and Entrepreneurship from the Olin Graduate School of Business, Babson College and is an Honors graduate of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Fintech/Blockchain Certificate program.

Paul was recently appointed (2018) to the Colorado Council for the Advancement of Blockchain Technology, by Governor Hickenlooper. He serves as an Associate Editor of the journal Frontiers in Blockchain for Science and is also an active member of the HIMSS Blockchain Task Force.
