Colorado Secretary of State

Mr. Williams was elected Colorado’s 38th Secretary of State in 2014. Williams’ commitment to public service and civic engagement began with his service as a full‐time missionary in Alaska, and led him to serve on multiple state and local advisory committees, as a county
commissioner, and as a leader in his church community. Prior to his election as Secretary of State, Wayne Williams served as the Clerk of Recorder of El Paso County, the most populous county in the state. During his tenure, Williams was recognized with numerous local and national awards for his work in administering efficient and transparent elections and for making administrative processes easier for citizens and business.
